Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a Construction Manager to lead and oversee the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of complex construction projects at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management is preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Construction Manager in an Engineering, Environmental or Construction organization required.
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Construction Managers may need to be certified for Asbestos Abatement/Lead, Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout, Electrical, CPR, Fall Protection, Scaffold Users.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, budget, and schedule construction activities for structures, facilities, and systems.
• Support decision making through input to IT Timing, cost estimates, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering on detailed design and procurement as Construction SME.
• Review SOWs for approval and participate in pre-kickoff meetings.
• Manage execution of all construction activities and administration of contracts.
• Maintain AS BUILT drawings and daily construction logs.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to codes and regulations.
