Role Description:

The Owners' Representative/Project Manager will oversee projects for a hyper-scale data center client, managing general contractors and guiding projects through early works and land development phases across the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive scopes of work and RFPs
  • Manage the RFP documentation process
  • Possess strong knowledge of manufacturing lines, electrical & mechanical systems, and CSA standards
  • Create and manage correspondence, RFIs, Change Orders, etc.
  • Motivate and develop subcontractor interest
  • Administer construction contracts during project execution and close-out
  • Manage project budgets and financial documentation
  • Prepare AIA payment applications
  • Coordinate permits and project close-out with authorities
  • Manage construction scheduling, sequencing, and critical path activities
  • Advise the client on contractual and project matters, including change orders and payments
  • Oversee Owner Change Orders
  • Monitor health and safety compliance on-site
  • Conduct and document meetings with owners, architects, and construction managers
  • Hold safety and production meetings regularly
  • Review site progress for quality and conformance
  • Review contractor requisitions monthly
  • Report on project costs versus budgets to senior leadership
  • Have strong experience with site grading and soil import/export activities
  • Manage site grading plans and verify related costs
  • Coordinate with clients and community groups to manage public relations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/Relevant Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management
  • Experience managing projects over $50M, including early works and land development
  • Deep knowledge of construction processes, management techniques, and materials
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Organized and detail-oriented
