Job summary

Williams Companies in Tulsa seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead teams and coordinate natural gas pipeline and related construction projects, with safety as the top priority. You will drive planning, execution, and QA/QC, while coordinating with partners.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 8+ years in construction, including 5+ years on large projects (> $50M); preferred bachelor’s in Construction Science or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Accounts for front end construction planning, estimate development, analysis and contract management
• Provides input in QA/QC staffing plans, construction cost/schedule management and liaison activities with our business partners
• Provides input on contracting strategy and contractor qualification/selection
• Reviews contractor schedules, execution plans, and extra work claims
• Develops and runs construction progress reporting; leads construction closeout
• Performs audits of inspection processes and documentation requirements
• Anticipates and proactively addresses potential issues and claims
• Provides onsite leadership to our inspection team
• Other duties as assigned

The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for leading teams and collaborating with our construction management and inspection teams. Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Accounts for front end construction planning, estimate development, analysis and contract management

• Reviews contractor schedules, execution plans, and extra work claims

• Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

• Required: High School Diploma/GED; minimum of eight (8) years' related experience with five (5) years' experience on large projects (greater $50M)
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

• Must be willing to:
• Up to 75% travel
• Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
• Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
• Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
• Use hand tools

Other Requirements:

• Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
• Preferred: Experience working on power generation, high voltage infrastructure, and/or large industrial facilities projects
• Preferred: CCM (CMAA) Certification
