Job summary

Kiewit Energy District is seeking a Senior Construction Manager based in Houston, TX. You will lead job-site management and oversee engineering, constructability, procurement, and commissioning for Oil, Gas and Chemical construction projects.

Responsibilities include directing project teams, establishing procedures, and coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure project success while maintaining safety and quality. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline) or equivalent Project Management experience.
• 10+ years of related energy industry experience.
• 10+ years of direct project oversight on construction projects with self-performed work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct project teams to meet goals, with defined scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee engineering, constructability, procurement, construction and commissioning from design through start-up.
• Establish project procedures, controls, schedules and budgets in line with contractual documents and quality plans.
• Represent the project with clients, contractors, subcontractors and vendors in meetings and correspondence.
• Provide training and mentoring to engineers to promote development.
• Ensure work products comply with industry standards, codes, and legal requirements.
