Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a senior-level Construction Manager (CM-4) to lead large, complex, high-risk capital projects in national security infrastructure. You will integrate safety, regulatory compliance, and enterprise coordination to deliver projects on baseline and budget.

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science and at least 8 years of related experience; DOE Order 426.2 criteria; and a track record leading nuclear or major federal projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, complex, highly regulated construction projects.
• Proven cost control, scheduling, risk mitigation, and multi-tier subcontract management.
• Knowledge of construction technologies, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Direct large-scale, high-risk, nuclear or mission‑critical construction projects from planning through turnover.
• Establish execution strategy, field governance structure, and performance expectations.
• Provide senior-level oversight of scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and change control.
• Mentor Construction Managers and Site Managers across multiple projects.
• Interface with senior Laboratory leadership, federal sponsors, and external regulators.
