About this opportunity

Align Technology is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee the construction of new program portfolio assets. The Senior Construction Manager will work on the NA Business Development & Services team and report to the Director of Program Design.

They’ll focus on overseeing program construction projects from initial scheduling & budgeting through construction completion and project closeout. Read and interpret construction documents. Establish and maintain construction project schedules and budgets. Support value engineering efforts for projects where required.

Provide material take offs and submit POs for owner supplied materials. Oversee the pre-construction, construction, post-construction, and project closeout processes; coordinating with internal teams and contracted vendors as required. Maintain established construction schedules and project budgets throughout project.

Accurately report any variations within project schedule and spending early and present well thought out corrective action plans where applicable. Approve or dispute change orders from vendors. Maintain and advocate for Align design standards during the construction process in partnership with the director of program design.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors hired by Align. Run weekly OAC meetings as the owner’s advocate. Travel to project locations is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of retail, hospitality, or healthcare construction oversight experience
  • Strong portfolio of work for top-tier brands.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite and SAP
  • Strong multi-tasking ability and proficiency in taking on multiple construction projects at once.
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills.
  • Collaborative and able to work across multiple discipline teams.
  • Proactive, high-performing, and self-motivated individual with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly to meet team needs.

Work Schedule / Hours

If in NC : Mon & Friday remote, Tues – Thurs in-office

If outside of NC : fully remote Mon-Fri

Up to 90% travel. Site visits during construction & quarterly NC team meetings are required.
