Responsibilities

  • Guide and align site construction activities, ensuring safe, on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate commissioning and subcontracting, on schedule and within budget.
  • Promote safety awareness and performance among site teams, including consultants and contractors.
  • Convey construction execution philosophy to key early project deliverables.
  • Act as Air Liquide on-site contact for contractor management.
  • Foster collaboration with contractors and project teams (design, commissioning, operations).
  • Coordinate and review contractor plans to complete the work.
  • Ensure proper implementation of job cards and work packs.
  • Evaluate contractor performance for safety, quality, cost, and schedule; implement corrective actions.
  • Update Capital Project Managers on progress, issues, and milestone dates.
  • Collaborate to develop solutions for emerging challenges.
  • Review change requests under the management of change plan.
  • Verify progress and approve contractor invoices.
  • Facilitate lessons learned and prepare close-out reports after site completion.

Within the framework of Air Liquide policies and contract commitments (including HSES, quality, time & cost), the Construction Manager is responsible for guiding and driving successful project delivery—achieving excellence in contractual requirements, quality, schedule, and overall cost effectiveness—by orchestrating project activities and fostering team resources while building lasting client partnerships and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Guide and align the Site Construction activities, by ensuring proper & safe delivery of construction
  • Commissioning and subcontracting activities - on schedule and at cost.
  • Promote safety awareness and safe performance among site team members, including consultants, contractor and subcontractor personnel.
  • Provide construction execution philosophy and knowledge to all of the critical early project execution deliverables.
  • Serve as Air Liquide on-site point of contact for contractor site management.
  • Build and foster collaborative interfaces with contractors and other project functional groups (e.g., design, commissioning, operations, etc.) regarding construction issues.
  • Coordinate input to and review development of contractor’s detailed plans to complete the work.
  • Ensure proper implementation, preparation and execution of job cards and work packs.
  • Partner with and evaluate the contractor’s performance for safety, quality, cost, and schedule; ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken when needed.
  • Keep Capital Project Managers advised of progress, performance, initiatives, issues, challenges, and anticipated completion dates for construction milestones.
  • Collaboratively develops solutions to navigate potential challenges.
  • Review change requests and change assessments in accordance with management of change plan.
  • Verify physical progress and approve or endorse contractor invoices, as appropriate.
  • Facilitate lessons learned review and prepare close-out reports upon completion of site work.
