Jobot in Sarasota, FL seeks an experienced Construction Litigation Shareholder to join a well-established litigation practice with national reputation. The role focuses on representing contractors, developers, owners, sureties and design professionals in complex disputes from pleadings to appeal.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. with active licensure in MO, IL, OR, or FL, and a proven track record in construction law and trial work.

Formación

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in MO, IL, OR, or FL.
• Extensive litigation experience with strong emphasis on construction law.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy with courtroom and deposition experience.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating within a team.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in the construction industry.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all phases of litigation from pleadings through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
• Represent clients in disputes involving construction defects, delay claims, mechanic's liens, payment and performance bond claims, contract disputes, and professional liability.
• Advise clients on risk management and contract drafting/review to help prevent disputes before they arise.
• Take and defend depositions, draft dispositive motions, and prepare cases for arbitration, mediation, and trial.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced litigators and support staff on multi‑party, technically complex matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, practical, and business‑minded counsel.
• Participate in business development efforts, including client relationship management and industry involvement.
