Job summary

Friedman Williams in Roseland, NJ seeks a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney to handle complex disputes arising from public and private projects. You will work with owners, developers, contractors, and industry participants, shaping strategy, and appearing in state and federal court.

The role offers substantial ownership, direct client interaction, and growth potential within a sophisticated litigation practice.

Qualifications

Approximately 6–10+ years of construction law and litigation experience.
Experience with public and private construction projects preferred.
Construction contract review and negotiation experience.
State and federal court litigation experience.
Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Handle a broad range of construction litigation and related matters for public and private projects.
Take ownership of matters from inception through resolution and develop case strategy.
Appear in state and federal court and manage discovery, depositions and motions.
Provide direct counseling to owners, developers, contractors, and other clients.
Collaborate with the litigation team while maintaining substantial autonomy.
Engage in negotiations, contract review, drafting and project terminations as needed.
Manage competing deadlines and maintain client-service excellence.
