Job summary

Our client, a nationally recognized A+ rated insurance carrier, seeks a Sr. Construction Liability Claims Specialist to manage complex New York Labor Law and Construction Liability claims from inception to resolution.

Responsibilities include investigating coverage, evaluating damages, establishing reserves, and negotiating settlements with defense counsel support. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of NY Labor Law and/or Construction Liability claims experience, strong negotiation and writing

Qualifications

• 7+ years of New York Labor Law and/or Construction Liability claims handling experience.
• Well versed handling complex and litigated New York Labor Law claims required.
• Experience conducting coverage and liability investigations and evaluating damages and claim exposure.
• Experience managing defense counsel and litigated claims through resolution.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Handle moderate to high-exposure Bodily Injury claims from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough coverage and liability investigations and evaluate damages and overall claim exposure.
• Review contracts and other relevant documentation to identify potential risk transfer and coverage considerations.
• Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim severity and potential exposure.
• Manage litigated claims and work closely with defense counsel throughout the litigation process.
• Review medical documentation, legal pleadings, discovery, expert reports, and other supporting claim materials.

This individual will be responsible for handling complex New York Labor Law and Construction Liability claims from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include investigating coverage and liability, evaluating damages and exposure, establishing reserves, managing litigation, and negotiating settlements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling complex and litigated New York Labor Law claims.
