Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to help deliver safe, high‑quality civil infrastructure projects in the field. You will conduct observations, monitor progress, measure quantities, and verify layouts against drawings and specs.

You will document daily logs, prepare reports on activities and conditions, read and interpret drawings, and identify discrepancies to keep projects on schedule for roads, bridges, water facilities, and pipelines.

In the role of Senior Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines.
• Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects.
• Perform measurements and calculations necessary to determine quantity of work performed and materials required.
• Check layout and dimensions of work by utilizing basic tape measures, rules and other instruments.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
• Compose reports with a daily log of construction activities, personnel assigned, equipment used, weather conditions, and other information pertinent to the progress of the
