Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Resident Inspector for our Construction Engineering Department in Wall, Camden and Newark, NJ. The role focuses on performing construction inspection on New Jersey bridge and roadway projects and coordinating with Project Managers to ensure contract compliance.

The candidate will review submittals, travel to sites, and maintain organized project files, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience and a PE or NICET certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or NICET certification is required.
• Experience performing construction inspection on bridge/roadway projects.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience on construction projects.
• Ability to pass a TWIC background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection on New Jersey based bridge and roadway projects.
• Assist in reviewing cost estimates and project submittals.
• Coordinate with Project Managers.
• Travel to project sites as required.
• Ensure daily contractor operations comply with Contract Documents.
• Keep project files organized and up to date.
