WSP is currently seeking a Construction Inspector for our Tempe, Arizona office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges.

Your Responsibilities

1. Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the work site, surveys, plans, blueprints, and reports for field inspection activities.
2. Perform basic inspections of site conditions, equipment, construction, and materials to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and permits.
3. Provide technical assistance to verify the proper functioning of structures and systems according to design specifications.
4. Verify load calculations, change orders, and interpret contract plans, escalating issues as needed.
5. Document inspection findings accurately using electronic systems, reports, photographs, and drawings.
6. Follow client policies, safety guidelines, and site-specific procedures.
7. Complete training and demonstrate knowledge of current inspection practices.
8. Collaborate with professionals and technicians on inspection tasks.
9. Adhere to ethical standards and company policies regarding resources and conduct.
10. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• At least 9 years of relevant experience in construction inspection.
• ACI certification and ATTI certification or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of construction principles, codes, and record-keeping.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in technical writing, software, and tools.
• Commitment to safety and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience with bridges, structures, and agencies like ADOT, MCDOT, and MAG.
