Job Description

Savin Engineers needs a Field Engineer for a large infrastructure project. The Field Engineer will be responsible for the effective administration of the construction contract and will interact closely with the Contractor’s team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide oversight for all inspection/construction operations using written procedures, instructions, codes, and standards, and coordinate with the Client’s operating staff.
2. Monitor conformance of Contractor’s and Subcontractor’s personnel with respect to submitted Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Plans as well as other applicable codes and standards.
3. Prepare and upload daily Job progress reports using the Client’s Primavera Contract Management (PCM) software.
4. Coordinate, schedule, witness, and upload all necessary inspections, including those for NYC Department of Buildings.
5. Review general construction shop drawings.
6. Advise Savin’s Project Manager of any construction problems and recommend corrective actions.
7. Monitor coordination of the Construction Contractor’s activities to avoid interruption of ongoing plant operations.
8. Monitor Construction Contractor’s activities to assist in review of monthly payment requisitions.
9. Review the Construction Contractor’s schedule and monitor for adherence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience in inspection and document control in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Industries.
• Experience in large multidiscipline construction projects, especially in wastewater, HVAC, and electrical projects, is a plus.

New York City, NY; On-Site (5 days a week)
