Job summary

The Aescit Corporation is seeking a Senior Construction Expeditor in New York to lead material flow, permits, and inspections on industrial projects. You will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to keep timelines, budgets, and quality on track.

The role supports site operations with periodic travel, combines onsite work with remote activities, and requires strong organizational, scheduling, and procurement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5–10+ years of construction coordination, expediting, or project management experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial/industrial construction processes.
• Experience coordinating inspections, procurement, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project; Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Expedite critical materials, permits, inspections, and approvals to meet milestones.
• Track project schedules and identify delays or bottlenecks.
• Maintain communication between project managers, field teams, vendors, and clients.
• Review POs, delivery schedules, and vendor commitments for accuracy.
• Coordinate municipal inspections, utility connections, and occupancy requirements.
• Maintain project logs, RFIs, submittals, and turnover documentation.
• Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final inspections.
