Qualifications

• A 4 year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent.
• 5–7 years minimum experience supervising building projects (K‑12, municipal, industrial).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Blue Beam.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-directed with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills in cost, pricing of materials, labor and equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships and safety/regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of workers on pre-engineered metal buildings and conventional steel buildings.
• Plans procedures based on specs, times, and staffing requirements.
• Assembles project team at start of project.
• Orders procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Coordinates with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to prevent delays.
• Resolves complaints and grievances within the workforce.
• Resolves construction problems with inspectors and suppliers.
• Inspects progress to ensure compliance with specs and schedules.
• Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs.
• Ensures work is performed safely and in regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
