Jobot is seeking a Permanent Construction Senior Estimator to join our Chicagoland team. You will prepare comprehensive cost estimates, review plans, and participate in preconstruction discussions with clients and engineers.

Responsibilities include site data collection, bidding, takeoffs, and collaboration with project teams to ensure accurate, timely estimates and ongoing improvement in estimation accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction estimating or related role.
• Experience in estimating, preconstruction, bidding, takeoffs, and construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for projects including labor, materials, and time.
• Review blueprints and specifications to prepare time, cost and labor estimates.
• Attend preconstruction meetings with clients, architects, and engineers.
• Conduct site visits and data gathering for estimation.
• Submit bidding proposals ensuring timely, accurate estimates.
• Perform takeoffs for materials and cost calculations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define project requirements.
• Monitor estimation data to improve accuracy and stay current with industry trends.
