Job summary

Rycon Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for our Fort Myers, FL office. The role focuses on assessing bid specifications and drawings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements for successful bids and acquisitions.

You will collaborate with Trade Partners and Project Management during pre-con, buyout, and proposal follow-ups to secure business closures. Proficiency in BlueBeam and Excel, plus leadership skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of relevant estimating experience on projects starting at $20 million.
• Proficiency in BlueBeam and Excel required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, and facilities.
• Cultivate relationships with Subcontractors, Vendors, and Suppliers.
• Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes, analyze quotes for value.
• Generate project bid status reports and ensure compliance with specs and contracts.
• Present cost estimates in alignment with proposals and conditions.
• Create cost summary sheets and input project schedules.
• Maintain current cost code database for historical data.
• Review projects and estimates for accuracy and pricing accuracy.
• Transmit estimates through Building Connected.
