This person should be confident operating with autonomy, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations, and understanding that compensation will be based on experience and demonstrated ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate and procure new projects, including detailed cost estimates and clear written proposals.
  • Manage aspects of awarded projects to ensure profitability goals are met.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through meetings, calls, and email communication.

  • Support employee development and contribute to organizational growth.

Operations

  • Perform accurate quantity and cost takeoffs for framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and related systems.
  • Organize plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Maintain a detailed log of bids, pricing, and project updates.
  • Coordinate awarded projects with the Project Manager.
  • Communicate scope and production requirements clearly to field and office teams.
  • Maintain strong customer communication to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Price scopes for new and ongoing projects to maintain profitability.
  • Update cost projections and monitor project status, challenges, and needs.
  • Establish pricing for scope changes and communicate impacts promptly to customers.
  • Follow up on change orders, invoices, and payments to support positive cash flow.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of increasing responsibility in construction preferred.
