Job summary

Thompson Turner Construction is looking for a candidate who is knowledgeable about all processes required to complete a project. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.

Qualifications

• A 4 year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of supervision experience, with K-12, municipal and industrial buildings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Blue Beam.
• Excellent written and oral communication; detail-oriented and self-directed.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of workers on Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings and conventional steel construction.
• Plans procedures based on schedules and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
• Assembles team members at project start.
• Procures tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Coordinates with supervisors and subcontractors to prevent delays.
• Resolves worker concerns with labor representatives.
• Collaborates with engineers and suppliers to solve problems.
• Inspects progress to ensure specs and schedules are met.
• Prepares progress and cost reports; adjusts schedules as needed.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
