Job summary

United Global Technologies in Aiken, SC is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to lead field construction activities, coordinate permits, review drawings, and ensure work conforms to specifications. You will direct and assess craft personnel, schedule short and intermediate tasks, and monitor safety, quality, and environmental requirements on site.

You will monitor subcontractor performance, prepare daily activity reports, manage cost control, and assist in developing technical specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 2–4 years in construction engineering or related areas.
• Associate's degree with 5–7 years of experience considered equivalent.
• High school diploma with 8–12 years of experience considered equivalent.
• General knowledge of system testing and operations helps ensure pre-operational turnover scope.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate crafts during installation and maintenance activities.
• Monitor and control costs, assist in scheduling field activities.
• Ensure proper permits, write job plans, procedures, and change forms.
• Review subcontractor performance for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Prepare daily activity reports and interface with design engineers on constructability.
