Job summary

Orionplacement in Phoenix seeks an experienced attorney to lead sophisticated construction defect defense matters. You will own case strategy, manage client relationships, and supervise depositions, hearings, and negotiations in a hybrid work setting.

This senior role requires Arizona bar in good standing, 10+ years of practice, and at least 3+ years in construction defect litigation. You will work with a regional defense team to deliver high-quality litigation outcomes and meaningful client

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
• 10+ years of attorney experience.
• 3+ years of construction defect litigation experience.
• Strong civil litigation, legal writing, research, and case management skills.
• Experience conducting depositions and handling substantive litigation matters.
• Excellent client communication, judgment, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid Phoenix environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex construction defect litigation from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions involving parties, experts, contractors, subcontractors, and other witnesses.
• Work with construction experts and consultants to evaluate technical issues, damages, and potential exposure.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings.
• Manage discovery, deadlines, experts, and litigation strategy across an active caseload.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, exposure, strategy, and resolution.
• Prepare matters for trial and take on courtroom responsibilities appropriate to your experience.
