Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Construction Loan Underwriter to assess and underwrite CRE and ground‑up construction loans. You will evaluate borrower financials, budgets, and collateral, and prepare loan packages for committee review.

You will monitor portfolios after closing, manage annual reviews, and coordinate with relationship managers to address draws, inspections, and risk factors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7+ years in commercial banking credit, underwriting, portfolio management.
• Strong construction lending experience covering full loan cycle.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and structure CRE, owner-occupied, investor, and construction loans.
• Prepare credit analyses, loan presentations, and management approvals.
• Manage a commercial loan portfolio: annual reviews, renewals, covenants.
• Underwrite construction projects: budgets, plans, permits, sources and uses.
• Monitor post-Closing portfolio progress, draws, inspections, and risk.
