Job summary

Timberlane Partners in Seattle is seeking a senior construction accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for construction projects and related duties across development, asset management, and hospitality teams.

The successful candidate will report to the Real Estate Controller and play a key role in budgeting, reporting, and ensuring project controls while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Real estate development, property management and/or construction accounting experience.
• Direct experience processing loan draws in real estate/banking/construction.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and reporting proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting and reconciliations.
• Proficient in Excel; familiar with ERP systems; quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit bank construction draws to lenders.
• Review and report construction pay applications, change orders, lien releases.
• Monitor project budgets and forecasts per standard practices.
• Analyze budgets and expenditures against funding sources.
• Collaborate with development and asset management on budget concerns.
• Oversee monthly payment applications with internal and external parties.
• Prepare reconciliations and data analyses for reporting.
• Maintain communication with acquisition, development, and asset management teams.
