A large privately held construction company in Dallas is seeking a Senior Construction Accountant due to growth. This role offers a salary of $95K to $100K plus bonus, with great flexibility. Responsibilities include financial statements preparation, job cost variance analysis, and participating in the month-end close process. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction. Familiarity with Sage 100 and management skills are pluses.

Qualifications

• Familiar with percentage of completion revenue recognition is a plus.
• Possess management and leadership skills.

Job description

LHH is looking to fill a Senior Construction Accountant position with a large privately held construction company in the Dallas area. This position has been created due to company growth and will be groomed for progression by the Controller. The company is a trusted business partner in the construction industry with over 60 years of operations.

This position pays 95K-100K+Bonus and offers great flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Experience working with Job cost variance analysis and experience with Pay Applications and WIP
• Participate in the month end close process
• Financial statement preparation and analysis
• General ledger account reconciliation
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience; preferably in construction or related industry
• Familiar with percentage of completion revenue recognition would be a plus
• Sage 100 or job costing system experience preferred
• Possess management and leadership skills and experience
