Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2–7+ years of accounting experience.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of: Construction job costing
• Strong knowledge of: Project accounting
• Strong knowledge of: Construction accounts payable
• Strong knowledge of: Lien waivers
• Strong knowledge of: Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
• Strong knowledge of: Paid-when-paid construction payment processes
• Strong knowledge of: Vendor compliance
• Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred.
• Experience with Procore, including Cost Management and Project Management, is a strong plus.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Construction Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing construction organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in the construction industry who understands project accounting, job costing, vendor compliance, and the unique financial processes involved in construction. While the position includes oversight of construction accounts payable activities, the primary focus is on supporting the overall accounting function with significant opportunities for career advancement into accounting leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects.

• Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
