You will help integrate Electric Power customer needs into our connectivity strategy, working with internal partners, dealers, and customers to identify new solutions and establish a long‑term telematics roadmap. Based in Peoria, IL or Irving, TX, the role involves travel up to 10% and collaboration across product groups to align telematics requirements with business goals.

As Senior Connectivity Strategy Consultant in the Electric Power Division, your work ensures Electric Power customer needs are integrated into our connectivity and technology strategy, which enables them to get the most from our products and services. You will work closely with internal partners, dealers, and customers to identify and develop new solutions and establish a long‑term path for telematics and technology utilization.
In this role, you will identify key strategic needs for Electric Power in the connectivity space and work with internal partners to drive alignment and prioritization of key projects, resources, and hardware/software enhancements to support connectivity adoption and growth.
Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. Communicates the importance of customer needs/expectations and commits to resolving them. Researches and verifies customer needs and expectations. Solicits customer satisfaction feedback and acts on improvement opportunities. Helps link organizational objectives to customer needs and expectations. Meets regularly with customers to understand their wants, needs and expectations.
Extensive experience and knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. Advises on advanced data gathering and analysis methodologies and technologies. Oversees data gathering and analysis activities within the organization. Documents sources and validates the accuracy of data analysis by evaluating the pros and cons of data gathering and analysis methods used. Implements procedures and policies within a data processing function. Teaches others how to improve the validity and reliability of data used in various analyses. Evaluates best practices of data gathering and analysis within the industry.
Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Applies an assigned technique for critical thinking in a decision-making process. Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas. Participates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes. Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns. Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives.
Working knowledge and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviours without offending the recipient. Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness. Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work. Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate. Looks for and considers non‑verbal cues from individuals and groups.
Working knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Provides prompt and effective responses to client requests and interactions. Monitors client satisfaction levels on a regular basis. Alerts own team to problems in client satisfaction. Differentiates the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship. Works with clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.
Working knowledge of the importance of “big picture” thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Implements the group's go‑to‑market strategy. Raises awareness of potential strategic alliances and partnerships. Explains elements of the strategy to others and encourages questions. Monitors marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities; reports findings. Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
This position is located in Peoria, IL or Irving, TX. Travel up to 10% is required. Domestic relocation assistance is not offered for this position. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. This position requires the candidate to work a 5‑day‑a‑week schedule in the office.
