KMRG, LLC is seeking a Congressional Affairs Specialist to support the Inter-American Foundation (IAF) in Washington, DC. The role focuses on federal reporting, congressional engagement, and interagency coordination.

The successful candidate will bring extensive Capitol Hill and federal agency experience, strong English/Spanish communication skills, and a proven ability to draft executive briefings, testimony, and Q&A materials for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, oral and written.
• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, public policy, law, international relations, communications, or related field.
• At least 10 years of Capitol Hill and U.S. executive-agency experience.
• Strong understanding of legislative and executive branches.
• Experience drafting sensitive briefings, testimony, and Q&A materials.

Responsabilités

• Serve as SME on federal and IAF reporting requirements.
• Provide advice on IAF engagement with Congress and interagency.
• Track congressional and interagency updates and stakeholder interests.
• Monitor laws, hearings, and regulations affecting IAF reporting.
• Prepare and coordinate RFIs, reports, for leadership review and approval.
• Engage with Congress, the Department of State, OMB and other interagency stakeholders as needed.
