Job summary

The Phoenix Group Advisors is seeking a conflicts analyst to perform comprehensive conflict checks for new client and matter intake, collaborating with attorneys, assistants, and other firm personnel to resolve potential conflicts.

You will analyze conflicts related to lateral hires, support confidential onboarding with ethical walls when needed, and prepare waiver requests with proper documentation. Strong data integrity and cross-department collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of independent conflicts analysis in a large law firm.
  • Hands-on experience with Intapp Open is required.
  • Experience maintaining conflicts databases with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Familiarity with Elite 3E, iManage, and Intapp Walls is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality with discretion.
  • Availability to work 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

  • Assist with administration and support of conflicts and intake systems, providing training on processes and software.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and policies; support department-wide best practices.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient service delivery and confidentiality.

Job description

  • Conduct comprehensive conflict checks for new client and matter intake, ensuring requests are reviewed promptly and accurately while collaborating with attorneys, legal assistants, and other firm personnel to resolve potential conflicts.
  • Analyze conflicts related to attorney and staff lateral hires, working closely with firm leadership to facilitate a confidential onboarding process, including the implementation of ethical walls and information barriers when appropriate.
  • Prepare, distribute, and monitor conflict waiver requests, ensuring timely execution and proper documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance the firm's conflicts database by correcting inaccurate or incomplete party information, researching additional related parties, and participating in large-scale data cleanup and reconciliation initiatives.
  • Assist with the administration and support of the firm's conflicts and intake systems, responding to user inquiries and providing training to attorneys and staff on conflicts procedures and software functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, recommend enhancements to conflicts processes and systems, and support the development of departmental policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with firm policies, and timely communication on conflicts-related matters.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and other projects as assigned while exercising sound judgment and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing independent conflicts analysis within a large law firm environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Intapp Open is required.
  • Experience maintaining and managing conflicts databases with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Familiarity with Elite 3E, iManage, and Intapp Walls is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, business professionals, and firm leadership.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Availability to work the regular schedule of 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
