Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Configurator Systems Integration Engineer at its Decatur, IL facility. You will work on concepts, integrate new products, and manage 3D models across multi-function teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience (or a master’s with 3 years) in mechanical/electrical engineering, GD&T, and experience with Siemens Teamcenter and CREO. Onsite 5 days/week; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of experience in related roles.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in related roles.
• GD&T applied to component design; Teamcenter and CREO applications; Design for manufacturability; Print reading; Design of complex machines.

Responsibilities

• Work on concepts and integrate new products, components, or technologies.
• Create, implement, and improve engineering designs, processes, techniques, tooling, and machinery to meet customer requirements and maximize product quality.
• Manage/maintain top level 3D model of current product line and oversee complex mechanical system issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet customer and dealer network requirements.
• Lead resolution of design and manufacturing readiness issues and ensure compliance with design change processes.
