Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Senior Configuration Manager to support the SAOC Division at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role focuses on maintaining software baselines and CM documentation in line with DoD/USAF standards.

Responsibilities include leading CM activities, coordinating Configuration Control Boards, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring alignment with program requirements and acquisition guidance. On-base work is required three days weekly, with a salary range of $115,000 to $135,000

Qualifications

• Experience on DoD or USAF acquisition programs is highly desired.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and interact with program team members and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical baselines, especially software baselines, in accordance with DoD/USAF guidance.
• Design, develop, and establish CM documentation per standards and program requirements.
• Prepare, coordinate, and lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
• Conduct closeout actions and archive CM documentation; report CCB status to leadership.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing RFPs, SOOs, SOWs, PWS, SRD/TRD, and other contract documents; assist in source selections.
• Review and update CM plans periodically per USAF guidance.
• Develop and maintain CM processes and matrices including approval workflows.

SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $135,000 *

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Configuration Manager to support the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) Division at Hanscom AFB, MA.

The SAOC program is a Major Defense Acquisition Program tasked with leading the development and delivery of the replacement fleet for the E-4B National Airborne Operations (NAOC).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining technical baselines, especially software baselines, of USAF systems in accordance with Dept of Defense and USAF guidance.
• Design, develop, and establish configuration management documentation based on prescribed standards, program requirements, and conventional best practices.
• Prepare documentation for, coordinate, and lead Configuration Control Boards.
• Conduct closeout actions and archive all CM documentation. Report CCB status to leadership.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing program/project documentation, e.g. Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statement Of Objectives (SOOs), Statements-of-Work (SOWs), Performance Works Statements (PWS), System/Technical Requirements Documents (SRD/TRD), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), AF Form 1067s, etc. and assist in source selections for systems.
• Review and update CM plans periodically in accordance with USAF guidance.
• Develop process, then maintain and standardize technical performance matrices to include capturing update steps, configuration control considerations, and approval process. Develop process documents.
• Maintain configuration control of assessments developed by the technical team.

Qualifications

• Experience on Dept of Defense or Air Force acquisition programs is highly desired.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools.
• Demonstrated characteristics of a self-starter who is able to work independently and effectively interact with program team members and senior leadership.
