Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Configuration Analyst to lead CM and release engineering for VA applications. Remote US-based role requiring deep CM expertise across environments and COTS software.

The position focuses on building, maintaining CM tools, and guiding development teams. Strong scripting, DevOps, and IaC skills are essential; federal/regulatory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience leading software builds and releases across multiple environments.
Experience in regulated or federal environments.
Deep CM and release engineering expertise.
Knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.
Experience with CM practices: identification, baselining, change control, status accounting.
Experience with scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

Support VA applications and cloud migration.
Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS.
Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documented, compliant, and logistically sustainable builds.
Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve modeling and development.
Design build procedures to support product development and use.
Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to analysts/engineers.
Ensure repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
Collaborate with stakeholders.
