Job summary

NexGen Contracting, the self-perform arm of Gray Construction, is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to lead on-site operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate field crews. This role focuses on delivering turnkey concrete scopes with strong collaboration across teams.

You will study project specifications, schedule activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure timely delivery of concrete scopes across our projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or minimum of five years concrete related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email applications.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player who enjoys a team environment and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Study specifications and blueprints to plan procedures for materials and construction based on starting and completion times.
• Assemble and schedule appropriate team members and subcontractors at project start, coordinating staffing requirements throughout the project.
• Set up construction site and procure tools and materials to meet work schedules.
• Coordinate with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to prevent delays and ensure quality.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and safety measures.
• Prepare or review progress reports, materials used and costs, and adjust schedules as indicated by reports.
• Ensure documentation and cost-related documents are completed correctly and timely.
