Overview

Senior Concessions Manager (Ball Arena) – ASM Global. Responsible for effectively and profitably managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of the Concessions Operations under the leadership of the Director of Concessions.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for operational budget, managing monthly P&L statements, and ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Concession managers and staff responsible for executing the Concessions business plan.
  • Sustain costs related to labor and operating supplies, working within budgeted guidelines.
  • Provide efficient service and quality products by maintaining positive customer and client relations through effective communication and prudent financial practices.
  • Establish and maintain proper safety and sanitation procedures; ensure repair and maintenance of food service equipment; develop working relationships with local health officials; collaborate with the facility maintenance team.
  • Ensure unit compliance with federal, state, local, and Legend’s regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. Coach and train Concession leadership to monitor and manage compliance.
  • Maintain management staff and ensure proper hiring and promotion of associates per Legend’s standards.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to meet needs and ensure contracts are followed; process invoicing and follow-up to ensure timely payment.
  • Preserve existing programs and develop new concepts to ensure high-quality food service and innovation.
  • Oversee monthly inventory for concessions operations and assist with annual operating budgets.
  • Analyze operating schedules to determine needs and communicate operational plans with the Concession management team and facility client.
  • Work with the Concessions culinary team to determine and regularly evaluate production pars for all food produced by event type.
  • Analyze concession liquor yields to identify trends, control costs, and maintain consistency.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures; identify unsafe conditions and complete safety training as required; report safety incidents in the risk management system on the same day of occurrence.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of management experience in high-volume foodservice, preferably in a concession environment at a sports/entertainment venue.
  • Union experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff and major projects.
  • Customer-service mindset with ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, clients, and guests.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures and POS systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TEAM Coalition Alcohol Certification.
  • Experience with ABI, Yellow Dog, UKG/UltiPro, Workday/My Venue is preferred.
Compensation

Competitive salary range of $70,000–$75,000 commensurate with experience, with a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
