Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking a highly motivated Technical Professional focused on Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian duties. The role requires a TS clearance with SCI eligibility or active DOE Q clearance, with oversight by the Field Intelligence Operations Division (FIOD).

You will manage COMSEC accounts, maintain records, and support audits in a secure environment. The successful candidate will work independently with customers, develop SOPs, install secure phones,

Qualifications

• BS degree in related discipline and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, or an active DOE Q clearance.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the COMSEC account to confirm proper distribution, control, and security of COMSEC material.
• Maintain up-to-date administrative files related to the COMSEC Account (e.g. SOPs, certificates, incident reports).
• Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the program.
• Conduct scheduled self-inspections and inventories of accountable material and documents.
• Prepare for and support biennial government audits.
• Maintain and manage tracked assets from arrival to departure.
