Job summary

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision and multi-modal models powering our core products. You will tackle object detection, tracking, OCR, and scalable data pipelines in a hands-on role.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers and software engineers, mentor teammates, and contribute to production-grade code and testing. This role emphasizes on-site collaboration and impact across parking, mobility, and real estate

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research/industry experience in ML CV
• 5+ years hands-on ML/CV with production deployments
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow/ONNX/TensorRT)
• Cloud platforms and containerization (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker)
• Experience with data pipelines and CI/CD tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced computer vision models for real-world applications
• Build and optimize deep learning models for production at scale
• Explore multi-modal approaches leveraging visual, text, and other data modalities
• Collaborate with data and software engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Lead scalable data processing, model training, and deployment pipelines
• Optimize models for CPUs, GPUs, and edge devices
• Conduct experiments and A/B tests to validate effectiveness
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices
• Write clean, maintainable code following ML/Software engineering standards
