Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of passing CBP background checks.
• 7+ years of relevant technical experience, with 4+ years in Deep Learning/Computer Vision.
• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related AI/ML field.
• Local Ashburn, VA candidates should be able to work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a 3-person AI/ML team, setting sprint goals and standards.
• Design and train custom YOLO architectures optimized for CBP environments.
• Architect end-to-end pipelines to process video data for secure training and testing.
• Define data annotation guidelines and manage dataset curation to handle class imbalance and challenging conditions.
• Optimize model inference speed and accuracy using CUDA, TensorRT, and other accelerators.
• Collaborate with Video Streaming Engineers, Software Engineers, and System Architects to integrate the live CV pipeline.
• Serve as the primary POC for the AI/ML pod within an Agile/Scrum framework.
