Job summary

NSA is seeking Computer Systems Architects to modernize IT architecture by analyzing research and introducing changes based on evolving project requirements. You will collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and propose solutions, produce compliance results, and map data models across legacy and new systems.

The role requires a CS concentration and experience across the system lifecycle. A strong emphasis on data modeling, standards, and security architectures is expected within a U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree must be in Computer Science or related field with foundational CS coursework (algorithms, data structures, programming, math).
• Experience includes design/development of computer or information systems across lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, deploy, maintain).
• Military training like JCAC counts toward experience.
• Entry levels: Bachelor +3 years, Master +1 year, Doctoral + none; senior/expert ladders with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Modernize IT architecture through analysis of research and evolving project requirements.
• Integrate industry trends, emerging technologies and standards and new vendor features.
• Collaborate with technical and application teams to identify, evaluate and recommend technical solutions for project requirements.
• Produce compliance results for established project requirements and IT architecture.
• Define and analyze data requirements, map legacy data stores to logical and physical data models.
• Propose standard data transport methods between IT systems and knowledge databases.
• Align enterprise data models with physical data models.
