Job summary

Kreative Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Computer Specialist to provide advanced technical support across servers, applications and IT infrastructure in a remote capacity.

You will diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software and network issues, install and maintain system software, support upgrades, and write automation scripts while documenting procedures and sharing best practices with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required.
• 4+ years IT systems or technical support experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX environments.

Overview

Kreative Technologies is looking for a Senior Computer Specialist to provide advanced technical support across systems, software and infrastructure. You will solve complex technical problems, support system changes and help keep the IT environment reliable.

The ideal candidate is a versatile technologist with strong troubleshooting skills. You should be comfortable handling a wide range of technical issues and explaining solutions clearly.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provides advanced technical support for servers, applications and end-user systems.
• Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software and network issues.
• Installs, configures and maintains system software and updates.
• Supports system upgrades, migrations and new technology rollouts.
• Writes scripts to automate routine technical tasks.
• Develops technical documentation and procedures.
• Advises project teams on technical options and best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT systems or technical support experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux or UNIX environments.
• Working knowledge of networking, Active Directory and system security basics.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, shell or Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft or Red Hat certifications.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts.

Compensation: $53,698 – $59,665 per year
