Job summary

Fluidstack, a New York-based company, is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own turn-up and qualification of compute across data centers. You will work with GPU fleets, manage firmware baselines, and automate provisioning using Kubernetes-based bare-metal tooling.

You will travel to data centers 30-40% of the time, collaborating with network, ICT, and hardware teams while ensuring turnover of new data halls and reliable capacity.

Qualifications

• You have brought server or GPU fleets at scale to production.
• You work deep in Linux and out-of-band management (BMC/IPMI/Redfish).
• You automate hardware workflows in Python or Go.
• You have hands-on data hall experience: racking, cabling, swapping components.
• You triage failures across hardware, firmware, and software.

Responsibilities

• Own compute turn-up from facility availability to ready-for-service across data halls.
• Qualify racks at scale: establish firmware baselines, configure BMC/BIOS, run burn-in across racks.
• Drive qualification through the base-management Kubernetes platform and provisioning stack.
• Triage hardware failures found in qualification and escalate with vendors as needed.
• Remote turn-up by default with on-site pulses during new data halls.
• Partner with network, ICT, data center operations, and hardware teams during turn-up windows.
• Travel 30-40% to our Data Centers and Labs, as needed.
