Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer for Compute Validation in Warren, MI. You will lead validation planning, develop test methods, and drive issue resolution for central compute platforms across the product lifecycle.

You will perform hands-on bring-up, environmental and EMC validation, and collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, production-ready hardware for GM’s software-defined vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with automotive hardware validation.
• Experience leading environmental and EMC validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation planning and execution for central compute platforms across the product lifecycle.
• Define interface validation requirements, test methods and acceptance criteria.
• Drive issue identification, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Bring-up prototype hardware and perform hands-on lab testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external labs.
