Everforth ECS in Springfield, VA, and Fairfax, VA, seeks a Senior Computational Scientist to lead the development, scaling, and deployment of advanced mathematical and AI/ML models for national-security datasets.

You will bridge theoretical science with HPC engineering, design robust algorithms, optimize high-performance codes, and mentor junior researchers while collaborating with aerospace, cybersecurity, and intelligence domains.

Qualificações

• US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance eligibility (CI Poly)
• PhD or Master in Computational Science, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering
• 5–8+ years post-PhD leading computational science initiatives
• Mastery of high-performance programming languages (Python, C++, Java, MATLAB)
• Strong Linux/Unix development and CI/CD with GitLab
• Expertise in CUDA and cuDNN for HPC
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with AI/ML, pattern of life, and change detection
• Ability to communicate complex math with executives (BLUF)
• Strong collaboration with domain experts (aerospace, cybersecurity, intelligence)

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and validate complex computational models and simulations
• Apply ML/DL and statistical physics to large-scale datasets
• Optimize, parallelize, and scale software on GPU/CPU clusters
• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives from design to deployment
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate mission needs into computational requirements
• Write white papers, proposals, and technical documentation
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals when possible
• Mentor junior scientists, engineers, and data analysts
