Job summary

Grifols, S.A. is seeking a Senior Scientist I in Computational Biology to support antibody discovery and ML-driven analysis. The role combines leading projects with cross-disciplinary teams, designing studies, and translating data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• PhD or Masters with significant experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Immunology, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience analyzing next-generation sequencing datasets and developing bioinformatics workflows.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or R in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Experience applying machine learning to biological data and protein language models.
• Ability to independently formulate computational approaches and drive projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret diverse biological datasets, incl. next-gen, long-read, single-cell, and antibody repertoire data.
• Provide computational expertise across research teams for bioinformatics needs.
• Lead computational research and technology development projects end-to-end.
• Apply ML to biological data, including predictive modeling and deep learning for sequences.
• Evaluate protein language models for antibody discovery and development.
• Develop robust, reproducible computational workflows for data processing and visualization.
• Collaborate with computational and experimental scientists to design and guide studies.
