Job summary

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures in Miami, FL, is seeking a Quality Engineer specializing in composites to evaluate damages on aerospace components and guide repair activities. This role acts as a liaison between Engineering and Production, monitors bonding processes, and ensures FAA compliance and airworthiness while driving continuous improvement.

Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years performing composite repairs on aerospace products.
• Ability to read OEM manuals and repair instructions.
• Knowledge of autoclave and vacuum curing processes.
• Understanding FAA regulations and airworthiness.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate damaged aircraft composite structures and determine repair solutions.
• Develop and implement repair plans from OEM or FAA data.
• Train and mentor technicians in composite repair.
• Read and interpret OEM manuals, drawings, and repair instructions.
• Lead root cause analysis and failure investigations.
• Support continuous improvement and new repair processes.
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Assist in bond tooling development.
