Job summary

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures in Miami, FL is seeking a Quality Engineer focused on composites to evaluate damages, develop repair plans, and verify post-repair quality. You will liaise between Engineering and Production, monitor bonding processes, and ensure FAA compliance and airworthiness.

The role requires collaboration with OEM data, training technicians, and leading root-cause analyses to improve efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years performing aerospace composite repairs.
• A&P certificate or mechanical engineering background is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations.
• Ability to read OEM manuals and engineering drawings.
• Experience with autoclave and vacuum curing processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate damaged composite structures and determine repair solutions
• Develop and implement repair plans using OEM and FAA data
• Train and mentor technicians in composite repair processes
• Lead root cause analysis and failure investigations
• Support continuous improvement of repair processes
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure airworthiness
