Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Component Engineer within the Component Quality & Technology organization. You will bridge design requirements with the global supply chain, managing lifecycle quality for passive, discrete, and logic components to ensure reliability.

You will lead qualification programs, perform failure analysis, and collaborate across functions to mitigate risks and strengthen manufacturing robustness for Cisco's AI-enabled networking hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of passive, discrete and logic components technologies and their applications.
• Experience with reliability qualification programs and accelerated stress testing.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement qualification plans for passive, discrete and logic components.
• Lead root cause analysis to identify failure mechanisms and solutions.
• Manage supplier technology roadmaps to strengthen supply chain resiliency.
• Collaborate with business units and global suppliers to influence design decisions.
• Apply reliability modeling and validation to uphold Cisco's reliability benchmarks.
