Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop, audit, and maintain compliance and technical documentation that aligns with regulatory and internal controls. You will contribute to PKI policy documentation and act as a point of contact for policy questions.

You will translate complex technical and compliance concepts into clear materials for diverse audiences, ensure version control, and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional/technical writing experience in computer security or related fields.
• Experience creating PDF and HTML online help deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance and technical documentation to meet regulatory, contractual, and internal control requirements.
• Provide input on Policy related to PKI programs (CP/CPS).
• Serve as the point of contact for teams on policy questions.
• Audit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with SOC 2 and security policies.
• Translate complex compliance and technical concepts into clear, concise content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain version control and governance of documents, including historical records and policy reviews.
• Support audit activities with documentation updates and evidence as required.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update documentation proactively.
• Create templates, style guides, and standards for consistency and compliance.
• Coordinate reviews with compliance officers and leadership to publish updates.
• Maintain documentation repositories and knowledge-management systems for easy access.
