Job summary

Acadian Companies is seeking a Compliance Manager in the Risk Management department to oversee the day-to-day operations of the frontline compliance and clerical staff on-site in Lafayette, ensuring policy execution and training across HIM, billing compliance, and records production.

The role mitigates operational vulnerabilities, professionalizes frontline workflows, and enforces data-auditing protocols to close compliance gaps, in partnership with General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years direct personnel management or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance.
• Experience with high-volume clerical workflows, medical billing operations, or related environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operation of the Compliance Department.
• Oversees frontline staff across HIM, Billing Compliance, and Records Production.
• Provides daily direction, coaching, and accountability metrics to supervisors.
• Directs baseline personnel workflows including timesheets, evaluations, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Standardizes workflows and maintains reference SOPs for frontline staff.
• Owns intake, investigation, and logging of compliance incidents; coordinates with Senior Regulatory Counsel.
• Acts as an operational firewall to reduce idle time and improve efficiency across divisions.
• Develops and revises policies and procedures to prevent non-compliant conduct.
• Collaborates with Legal, IT, HR, and other departments to resolve compliance issues.
