Job summary

Fernridge Group is a growing venture capital firm with over $40B in AUM seeking a compliance officer to work closely with the CCO on a lean team of 3. This newly created role offers exposure to a high-impact, strategic program across investments, legal, IR, and operations.

You will design policies, manage regulatory filings such as Form ADV and Form PF, and look for AI-driven improvements to compliance workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in compliance, preferably in private equity or venture capital.
• Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with interest in AI and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Prepare and review regulatory filings including Form ADV and Form PF with CCO collaboration.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve compliance operations.
• Monitor restricted lists, personal trading activity, and MNPI-related matters.
• Support expert network and paid consultant reviews, including diligence and approvals.
• Support onboarding, training, certifications, and ongoing compliance education initiatives.
• Review investor communications, marketing materials, DDQs, website content, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement compliance policies, procedures and related controls and testing protocols
• Prepare and review regulatory filings including Form ADV and Form PF, and collaborate with the CCO on the annual review process.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve compliance operations and workflows.
• Assist with monitoring restricted lists, personal trading activity, and potential MNPI-related matters.
• Support expert network and paid consultant review processes, including diligence, approvals, and documentation.
• Support onboarding, training, certifications, and ongoing compliance education initiatives.
• Assist with reviewing investor communications, marketing materials, DDQs, website content, and other external-facing materials.

Qualifications

• 5 + years of relevant experience in compliance ideally in the private equity or venture capital space.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with an interest in technology, AI innovations, and process improvement.
