Job summary

AdventHealth in Maitland, Florida, is seeking a Compliance Analyst to identify process improvements, conduct audits, and prepare deliverables for leadership. You will manage privacy and regulatory audits, analyze laws, and contribute to key committee meetings. Strong Excel/PowerBI and communication skills are required.

You will develop training for diverse audiences and work collaboratively across departments to uphold the seven elements of an effective compliance program.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerBI), with advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI.
• Ability to work with other software applications/systems and assist with data analytics and reporting.
• Proficient writing skills to develop concise presentations and reports.

Job Description:

Identifies potential recommendations for process and procedure changes based on monitoring and auditing activities. Independently prepares and quality controls workpapers and other project deliverables. Manages audit procedures for compliance, privacy, and operational audits. Conducts audit and investigation procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Prepares audit programs, planning documents, and time budgets for review and approval. Other duties as assigned. Conducts compliance research and analyzes federal and state laws and regulations to synthesize information for leadership. Develops and contributes to presentations and deliverables for key Compliance meetings, including Steering Committee and Board Meetings. Participates in Compliance inquiries and investigations, assisting with initiatives as requested. Contributes to Compliance risk assessment initiatives and programs as directed. Performs and summarizes data analysis for monitoring and auditing activities, inquiries and investigations, risk assessment, or other projects. Prepares and executes project plans related to the annual Compliance Work Plan items, risk assessment initiatives, and special projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerBI), with advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI. [Required]
• Ability to work with other software applications/systems, such as internal and vendor compliance reporting and tracking systems, and to assist with data analytics and reporting. [Required]

• Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas and information comfortably and effectively in front of committees and large groups, legal counsel, all levels of job classes within the system, and other key stakeholders, such as patients and representatives of government agencies. • Ability to develop and provide effective and understandable training to various audiences, including experience translating complex compliance concepts into an easy to understand format. [Required]

• Working knowledge of health care compliance programs and the Office of Inspector General (OIG) “seven elements” of an effective compliance program. [Required]
• Ability to independently research and analyze complex health care compliance and regulatory subjects, including the ability to understand and synthesize federal and state laws and regulations, and other industry documents/publications. [Required
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to independently develop and manage project plans, effectively prioritize work, complete tasks/projects within established timeframes, and report on progress to leadership. [Required]
• Ability to develop and implement compliance audits, including appropriate steps to conduct retrospective reviews as well as internal proactive reviews as part of monitoring and auditing plans or inquiries and investigations. [Required]
• Ability to develop and implement project plans. [Required]
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommendations. [Required]
• Ability to independently perform data and document analysis and assist with compliance inquiries and investigations. [Required]

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Field of Study:

• Business, Health Care Administration, or related field.

Work Experience:

• 3+ years of health care compliance experience working in a health care provider compliance or internal audit department, law firm, and/or at a national health care consulting or audit firm [Required]
• 5+years of health care compliance experience working in a health care provider compliance or internal audit department, law firm, and/or at a national health care consulting or audit firm [Preferred]
